Re: “Parked Pierogi revived already; women's brew and big events

Glad to hear that Parked Pierogi is back up and running!

Re: “C4C, PERA, Utilities, going green, and more

"...desperate to bring people into our downtown without allowing any creativity or counter-culture, so that leaves sports.

Their investment of $53 million on the Olympic Committee headquarters probably hasn't paid back one dime of increased revenue, so instead of looking to arts and unique venues like other cities with prospering downtowns, they want more sports."

Couldn't have said it better. Wish it weren't true.

Re: “Four bullets and a pit bull

Mr. Liberti, pit bulls are not 'bred to kill.' In fact, because human like to fight them against each other, they're bred to be human-friendly so they can be easily handled by those who wish to make them fight.

Re: “Four bullets and a pit bull

Sonny, that's really not the point, besides being dubious at best. The point is that all kinds of dogs are killed this way and that any situation in which deadly force is used repeatedly merits training. Simple. No need to make personal attacks if you can support your position.

Re: “Run it by me, says Maketa

TejonTech: it never ceases to amaze and amuse me that so many conservatives yammer about 'Thuh Constuhtooshun' without understanding AT ALL what it means to uphold and defend it. What you call 'taking one aspect of something and stringing it out of balance' actually means 'arguing specific points of law'. When our rights are being violated, it's proper to examine the particulars of those violations. Of course, your notion that college ruins our children is enough to make my point for me about the manner by which you form your worldview.

Re: “Gazette: It's now a fixer-upper

Smartestman, this one really showed YOUR bias: Mr. Tosches said nothing about all Colombian women being large-breasted; he simply said that those dancing girls ensconced in the Gazette building would fit that profile.

Re: “Open and slut

I'm not using language that's difficult to understand. You just don't happen to agree. I wish, smartestman, that you would adopt the habit of addressing the argument presented instead of the character and intention of your opponent.

You agree that rape is unacceptable - but how does the fact that so many people who perpetrate that act aren't punished fit in with that worldview?
