Springs Wings 2 Go’s hard to justify for the price

We found Springs Wings 2 Go, a Concept Restaurants-owned delivery biz, through a co-worker who was scouring the Uber-owned UberEats delivery app for a hot wings fix. The menu’s small — 10-inch brick oven pizzas, wings, chicken tenders and sides, all prepared at Concept-owned Flatiron’s, according to one Flatiron’s employee and the UberEats delivery map. We order a pizza margherita ($14) and voodoo chicken boneless tenders ($12/five tenders), jazzed there’s still a place to get now-closed Ritz Grill’s voodoo sauce. And while the voodoo still pops with a fine mix of seasonings, sweet, sour and spice, the tenders are the pre-breaded frozen kind, densely coated and a little too kids-menu — should’ve gone bone-in wings. As for the pizza, while the crust’s toothsome enough, muted sauce and thick, plastic-like cheese evoke frozen Red Baron ‘za, with no promised basil to be found. Delivery to the Indy office pushes the total past $30 before tip; we’ll wait for the Concept crew to bottle the damn voodoo sauce.
