Re: “My American story’s “shithole” roots

So because you were told Donald Trump said "shithole" (in fact 4 other people in the room that day he didn't say that, and Durban has walked his claim back) a week ago you were raped by raging racist Mormans decades ago. And because you were raped by raging racist Mormons decades ago ....... all white people are racist. Yeah, makes perfect sense.

Re: “Why real news is so important

Following the New York Times report? The one that Ronan Farrow had for months but NBC spiked because they loved Weinstein? That's the fake news people are seeing. Journalism today is about running stories to hit conservatives and burying anything bad for liberals. People have been seeing thos a long time, glad you finally noticed.

Re: “Gary Numan sifts through the wreckage of a Trump-style apocalypse

Must be rough attempting to scrimp by being worth a measly 5 million pounds (About 10 million USD). Yeah a real tragedy of the 1%. Thanks to the Trump apocalypse he can barely afford to keep the groundskeeper in rubber boots. The horror.

Re: “Reader: Thanks for passing your mistakes to my generation

It doubles the standard deduction from 14 to 28k. If you cannot see the obvious benefit that gives to working class people, then you are probably reading too much huffpo.

Re: “Finding cheap internet is not easy

Did the cut the cable thing in 2008. Lived in Woodland Park. Got a broadband antenna installed from Peak Internet for $30 a month, streamed Netflix, Hulu and Cracker very well but occaisional buffering. Went to OEM parts and bought two Winegard antannae. Pointed one at Denver and one at Colorado Springs. Used R6 coaxial from Balun to receivers with Radio Shack signal booster (110 volt). In 2008 we were getting 58 stations. Mind you some were double i.e. two ABC,NBC,CBS stations, but some Indys like ION, MyTV and CW had a lot of good old shows. It was very functional. Now back in the Springs and I just don't feel the need to set that up again. Got Xfinity in three rooms and 256 internet for 130 a month. Sounds pricey until you realize that my electric bill went from $300 to $140 between Woodland Park and the Springs. My electric bill savings payes for my cable/internet with a couple bucks left over. Black Hills Energy sucks and you guys should be grateful for Colorado Springs Utilities, I know I am.

Re: “Local students protest Trump

So the same generation that loved "The Hunger Games" books and movies now wants to get rid of the electoral college? Talk about a lack of critical thinking skills. And this is the real problem with participation trophies, you have to learn how to lose when you are a child. Great job public school system, you have created an entire generation of entitled people that now have to learn how to lose much later in life.
