Re: “Reader: Parks aren't only for the middle class

"I live a block from Shooks Run."
No. You don't. : You are a ranting mass of key strokes, you don't live in the downtown area. : .

My comments have little or nothing to do with the "People".

My comments are of the "trash, bodily wastes, crime, violence, and open consumption of drugs and alcohol." is not a positive variety.

Your rant goes on in an endless run on about the People that live there. Again, my concern is the environment that they are living in (and creating), and how it is impacting; in a negative manner; the Shooks Run, downtown Colorado Springs area, our Colorado outdoors, and our Colorado waterways.

Where do those five gallon buckets go when they are full anyway?

Re: “Reader: Parks aren't only for the middle class

Dude; I'm going to go with a you live nowhere near any of the homeless camps, creeks or waterways, and have no grand children that you might like to be able to let go play in the park, hike the trail, or just run wild like our children could.

Because there is no way our grand kids can go do any of those things anymore.

Too much trash, bodily wastes, crime, violence, and open consumption of drugs and alcohol.

Re: “Reader: Whose parks are they?

The parks and trails our children played in; are no longer safe for our grandchildren.

Re: “Streetcar520 forges its own path in McCabe’s shadow

McCabe's Tavern is not and was not "deceased". McCabe's was Outleased when the rent doubled.
Coffee Exchange will be next - first the property owner puts $10k into (unnecessary) renovations; next time the lease is due up they will double it. RIP Coffee Exchange.
Later; when your drink, cup of coffee, bagel or sandwich ($15 falafel burger wtf) doubles, and ... Not the city growth many would choose to see.

Re: “Reader: It's time to push back

509 E. Vermijo. Take a look around.
Or, check out the area West from S. Royer and Sante Fe street.
Both of these areas have huge 10 cubic yard dumpsters. Both of the areas have trash all over the place.
Not the job of volunteers to be putting trash into a dumpster that the people living right beside it won't use...

This is well charity with well intentions gone awry.

The ACLU should be making legal attempt to save Mother Nature from the horde that is living along our waterways.

Re: “Users worry about safety on urban trails, but police say most violence is among homeless

Ignore the dead body at East Costilla and South Wahsatch. It's just among the homeless.

Instead; walk up to some of them and strike up a conversation. "Over 6 feet tall and solidly built" might be an assist with the absence of threats or violence in return.

No problems here folks; just a dead body.

Re: “Concrete Couch wants to allow a temporary homeless camp at its new location. But is it a pipe dream?

With no jobs; and not much to do all day; zip codes 80903/4/5/6 and 10 should be spotless and free of every bit of trash and blowing debris.

Nah. Summertime; go grab some shade, take a smoke; and drink up a nice cheap beer. Sadness ensues.
