Re: “Colorado Springs' stormwater fee collector well known in development world

Stormwater? This should be a poop urine and trashwater fee. I'm not sure where Pine Creek is; but it can't be too close to any of the free for all feed centers and excess baggage give-away zones.
The rest of the cities waterways are passable sewers at times; where is this Pine Creek of bygone COS at?

Re: “Town hall shows sharp division over creekside camping ban

The division is people that live close to homeless camps : people that don't live close to homeless camps.

Pop a homeless camp up in Rampart Park 80920. Oh; quickly the people around that area will want a *100* mile ban to keep the trash needles and crime away from their families.

Re: “Transit Mix bid for a new quarry faces strong opposition

Meanwhile; hundreds of transients seemingly use Monument Creek, Bear Creek, Shooks Run, and Fountain creek as a bathroom. No permit required.

Raw Sewage? No problem.

Treated potential runoff from a construction site that is also generating economy? Terrible.

Re: “Needle exchange debate by El Paso County Board of Health ends with "no" vote

Here; have some more needles to leave behind when you're done juicing up. Because once high; every junkie wants to make line #1 being able to remember to pick up their needle when they drop it. Because; uh, fantasyland? Hamburger!

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

"Security and Widefield asked to suspend payment"
Oh, total suspension? As in totally shut out the people living there? Totally? 15, 21 days before Christmas? Total suspension? Have a very shameful Christmas to all the board members, any and all that obviously gave no thoughts towards that horrific blanket solution.

Please take this entire situation back to realityville; which is a place the COS area is rapidly leaving. As in the old people in the Broadmoor area mid-rise getting booted, this mess, transients rapidly taking over the corners, trash and litter everywhere. Is this tomorrow's normal for Colorado Springs? Caring, charitable, affordable, clean, crime free, smooth flowing Colorado Springs?

Am I missing the Miracle on 34th Street concept? Did somebody like; die poorly and upset the timeline of our Finest Small City of America?

WTF is happening?

Re: “Police are ticketing far more homeless campers than they once did

"""Just fyi, I can't recall ever seeing a homeless person lugging around a shovel to "dig a hole""""

There are a lot of rocks in Colorado; and there is a lot of scree dirt and debris. Marion house, SRM, Dorchester Park, heck, even a sewer drain. Lots of options as compared to a pile beside the path, in the alley, on and on and on. If a person can't solve this simple stuff; a home (which usually means an electrical outlet, maybe a stove, a microwave, running water - may as well put a 911 call box on the wall; because that is a whole nother set of emergencies waiting to happen) probably is not the next step in evolution.

About the time a person needs assistance in the how and where to poop category; not sure where to go with helping them. Filling the five gallon bucket and dumping it in the creek is not the right option either. (That does become our drinking water; and is also used to water crops - care for a good old fashioned TB or Hepatitis outbreak? Salmonella anybody?)

Still no trash solutions - the age old concept of 'bring it in; carry it out'. Check back when that basic elementary school level item gets mastered. Because so far; these basic pre-teen tasks (and management items, for the more evolved homeless to perhaps mentor to the less than developed among them) are easily seen to be lacking.

Stop trashing our outdoor areas!
