Re: “The campaign for Amendments 60 and 61 and Prop 101 sounds bad, but it may just work

I do not believe in borrowing money.

I have always saved at least 10% of my earnings and invested it. At age 71 I own two homes free and clear and two trucks, all for which I paid cash. I never earned more than $60,000 annually and sometimes much less, but my current assets are worth close to 1 million dollars. I am on a fixed retirement income with no increases in sight to pay more in taxes, but the property taxes on one of my houses just went up $700+. My vehicle taxes went up last year and this year another $150+ for license plates? Now you want me to vote for another tax increase because of inept school managers and greedy politicians? HELL NO!

Why am I posting this? Because it is time the Colorado school districts and politicians started economizing and saving money instead of crying that more borrowing and taxes are needed. LEARN TO MANAGE MY ASSETS THAT YOU ARE CONTROLLING!

Less than 2% of the US population "earns" $250,000 or more annually, yet we have a school superintendent in each Colorado school district who earns that much or more! Why do we need so many high paid school superintendents? Why not one school superintndent per COUNTY at $125,000 and redistribute the savings to increase the salaries of school teachers.

I am voting YES on 60, 61 and 101 and so are many of my retired friends.
