Re: “Former El Paso County sheriff’s investigator sues alleging malicious prosecution

Looks more and more like the corruption of May and Bauchler, both long rumored, are coming home to roost.

Re: “Reader: Vote for the climate

BTW, Paula, I'm no jackass whisperer. I don't whisper to you. I don't even know you, and don't care to.

Re: “Reader: Vote for the climate

If Huck Mucus wants to be spoonfed and not exercise his personal responsibility to think and critically assess, then perhaps his CIS is really a sheep...

Re: “Reader: Vote for the climate

Try again, Mr. K. One does not need a degree to learn things. That's a false presumption.

As for making things up, no, those are pretty well-known and very empirical sciences, and there are plenty of very intelligent people in those fields, myself included, who know far better than the AGW cultists peddling their junk religion. You would do far better to educate yourself than be a moron.

Re: “Public safety workers allege racial discrimination and sexual harassment in Fountain

Note also that the Independent waited to release this story to when Heberer was on vacation in Utah and was unable to immediately respond. Timing is suspect and that also adds credence to it being a hit piece.

But, no, this is the voice of tolerance in the Independent.

They're only good for the dark humor, horoscopes, News of the Weird, and the puzzle page.

Call Carl Tatum, chief of Hanover FD, and ask him.

Re: “Reader: Plants offer a path to sustainability

Sorry, but that's beyond absurd.

Assuming that one subscribes to the CO2-AGW nonsense, which no rational scientist or otherwise critically-thinking person does, then the largest contributor in agriculture to CO2 is not animal agriculture but petrochemical fertilizers that have increased in use as their need has increased from soil nutrition depletion from the excessive use of monocropping, GMOs, and glyphosate, which tends to kill off the soil microbiome that helps plants grow. The fertilizers leach off in water and evaporate the CO2 into the air. So in reality, it's industrial agriculture that is the problem, not meat, and meat does not use 38% of the land or 70% of the water, or contribute 19% of CO2. Those numbers are off by an order of magnitude; move the decimal point one place to the left.

Using false data to push the militant vegan agenda is intellectually dishonest in the first place, but it's also just indicative of just how desperate these people are to push their nutritionally-deficient and evolutionary-devoid nonsense onto the rest of us.

Now, please excuse me while I don my leather oven mitts. My pot roast is ready in my gas-powered oven.
