Re: “Reader: Thank God Senators followed their moral compass

"Rather, in logical argument, once a proponent comes forward with an argument, the burden of proof shifts to an opponent to refute it."

Nope. Burden of proof is ALWAYS on the one making the assertion. Full Stop.

To claim otherwise only means that you flunked Logic 101.

Re: “Reader: Dr. Ford, History heard you

Dear Eberharts: you are so clueless, even Parker Brothers can't help you.

Re: “Reader: I'm fired up

Ken Schauer: your liberal union rants over class warfare and corporatism don't fly with rational thinking people.

Re: “Reader: Vote for the climate

Kimia Rejai: voting with the AGW nonsense in mind is a fool's errand, as is almost all of your allegations of nonsense in your letter. Temperature increases have absolutely nothing to do with sea levels because of simply planetary construction and physics, and the planetary is still currently in a cold eon. Your rant is simply nonsensical and has zero basis in real science or planetary history.

Re: “City of Fountain conducts questionable deals, most employees live outside the city limits

Another biased hit piece with little to sustain a loosely-chained-together list of allegations tainted with liberal buzz.

Re: “Public safety workers allege racial discrimination and sexual harassment in Fountain

The whole thing reads like a liberal hit piece that reeks of sour grapes.

Yes, Fountain PD has had its *past* share of problems, and a lot of those problem children are either still there or are the ones who have left. This goes back to before Evans and before Corsentino.

In this day and age, if one is a white conservative in a position of leadership and responsibility, they have a target on their back. Heberer is no exception to being a target. The real problem there appears to be Coates.

Re: “Reader: Will the abuse ever end?

Jan Zeis: we real men sympathize with your plight, but you need to understand something: it is not the proper place to have Ford accuse Kavanaugh in front of a national audience in a Senate hearing. Ford not only did not engage the system properly when and if the incident happened, but sat on it of three decades and to all outside appearances of normal people, waited until now to use it as a political play (as was set up in 2012), and her story has more holes in it than a loaf of lacy Swiss at the Safeway deli. Here's the key point: WE DON'T BELIEVE FORD OR SWETNICK OR RAMIREZ, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE DON'T BELIEVE ALL WOMEN. It does mean that each case should be addressed on its own merits or lack thereof, and these specific cases have no merit whatsoever and absolutely reek of political plays to engage in character assassination. If liberals didn't want Kavanaugh, who aligned with Garland 93% of the time on the DC Circuit, then they should have focused on Kavanaugh's problems with the 4th, 5th, 9th, 10th, and 14th Amendments, not allegations of teenage sex and booze! You know, POLICY, not personal destruction.
