Colorado Springs, dubbed Olympic City USA, joined Colorado Springs National Governing Bodies and the U.S. Olympic Committee on March 28 to announce an ongoing initiative to showcase Team USA pride.

Five-time Olympic champion swimmer Katie Ledecky and other Olympic swimmers rolled out the new program at the Olympic Training Center pool.

"From national team camps and major sporting events to community involvement and school visits, Team USA athletes and local NGBs make an impact in Olympic City USA, just as Colorado Springs impacts the athletes and individuals of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic movements," the Springs-based USOC said in a release.

Athletes plan to offer local media behind-the-scenes glimpses into competitions, camps and celebrations in the future to shine a light on "USA pride."
