Listing all the statistics of those who have health insurance is a pride in failure. Why is "Insurance" needed? Isn't health care a basic need? Is it less important than Police or Fire protection? Why doesn't the State provide health services? The best solution for our health Care problem is for Congress to remove the federal government from the equation except to collect taxes and return them to the States on a per capita basis (to level the playing field in terms of wealth). The States then can afford to simply provide health care to their residents as a service like Police and Fire protection. there would be no insurance company involvement at all. Preexisting conditions would be irrelevant. Care would cost the absolute minimum without profits. Can the States do it? Of course they can since our States are comparable to all the foreign Nations that already are doing it and doing it well.
