Re: “Religion, made palatable

Dear Mxyzptlk, If you were to attack someone about an attack on Christianity why not call attention to his exaggerated claims to the length of rulers in Catholic schools (36" in a foot?! What would Jesus measure? Oh wait, is a cubit like a foot? Nevermind.) Given the fact that each person's religous experience is INDIVIDUAL and that individuals still, humanly, claim objectivity as their exclusive domain, I (as a religous educator AND persistent advocate for tolerance) can understand why you disagree with the article. But your unique experiences, my dear sir, are not universal. Similarly, our spiritual hungers differ. Christ set the example by proclaiming, "I am the way." If that "way" were established in one church we probably would have ample direction (and, in this day and age,GPS coordinates) to its location. If you can accept that "the way" as exemplative and not literal than you can accept that there are multivariate paths to "salvation". Regardless of your level of tolerance (please note that, out of consideration, I spare you the agony of using the word acceptance) Peace to you. Peace to the uathor of this article. May you both find "your" way to fulfillment. On a personal note, God bless it, let me alone to do the same.

Re: “Joining GOP in the shed

I sincerely hope that sometime soon we will outgrow our shadenfruede with Mr. Bruce. The politics of bitterness and divisiveness are well perpetuated by the continual demonization of what seems to be a sad, sad, man. Nonetheless, it has been dad-blamed entertaining to watch this man over the years and there is a part of me that also hopes his constituents are forgiving.

Re: “Dusting off Gold Hill Mesa

How dare you accuse Tosches of journalism! How dare you suggest that he needs to be restricted to mere "facts"! This is the exact brand of twisted logic which leads people to equate public health and environmental health or of a city government's responsibilities to a city's well being.
