Re: “Balloon Classic to leave Springs

A little history of this event, it used to be an organization that raised funds for local non-profits. Somewhere along the way it ended up in the hands of a private business, I would like a reporter look up how this happened and write an article.

A don't see the mayor or the city council or Anschutz or the Koch brothers having anything to do with this new requirement, if any of the haters out there can show that it does, please do, truth trumps all.

The city gives money to the Balloon Classic, not the other way around as some seem to think.

The only difference between this year and last is the requirement to furnish an economic impact statement. This is something that everyone can do, even if it's a "guesstimation", the Balloon Classic has "chosen" not to.

The C.S. Independent has an article from February 2014 that says the Balloon Classic announced it will be in Canon City in 2015. Are they dealing with the City of Colorado Springs in good faith?
