After months of consideration, former Congressman Tom Tancredo is reportedly getting into the race for governor. It's his third try for the office. Now a Breitbart blogger and always an immigration hawk, Tancredo joins a crowded Republican primary field, despite a strained relationship with that party's "establishment" in the past. His entry into the race comes after a new poll from former Donald Trump pollster Matt Braynard with the Washington, D.C., based Braynard Group, found that likely primary voters prefer Tancredo. According to the poll, Tancredo is essentially tied in a hypothetical race with Congressman Jared Polis, a favorite in the Democratic pool of candidates. Colorado Politics, which broke the story, reports that Tancredo plans to visit the Whistling Pines Gun Club in Colorado Springs as part of a campaign launch tour along the Front Range on Nov. 1.
