Re: “Watch movies on top of a downtown parking garage

What a fantastic idea! Any chance it could be more than 3 times a season?

Re: “Manitou Springs pushes back against recreational marijuana

We all need to broaden our horizon on this topic. Think about the cases (mostly kids) with severe epilepsy who have received immense help from this plant. Marinol is another product that is used to stimulate the appetite in severe cases of malnutrition or wasting away. It stimulates the appetite and I have seen some miraculous results with it. How about glaucoma patients or cancer patients? Again I have seen some excellent results with pain and nausea associated with chemotherapy. Personally I don't use any MMJ or it's byproducts. But please don't close the opportunity for those who benefit medically from it. 20 years ago these patients had to be sneaky to obtain the MMJ and most wouldn't even admit to their doctors that they were successfully using MMJ. If you aren't interested in purchasing MMJ, then don't purchase it. But please don't cut everyone's access to it. I was previously adamantly against MMJ but as a registered nurse I have seen the beneficial side to it. Yes, our young people (teens) will have some access to it but that availability has been there for many years prior to legalizing MMJ. If you are opposed to smoking it, then cook with it. There are many good recipes on the internet. The easiest one is to make canna butter. Think about it!

Re: “Clarifying the rumors on Adam's Mountain CafĂ©'s move

Look at the positives and potential for better things! The biggest one I see is more parking & the ability to visit on busy days when parking at current location is a problem! The interior can be decorated to take on its own charming look. Bigger, more seating ? Increased business from locals who don't care if there is a tee shirt shop or candy store next door. Capture more business $$ when Manitou floods the next time. I am sure there are many more positives. Add your take on it!
