Re: “Coquette's Bistro and Bakery

Went to the new location on South Tejon over the weekend. I was a little disappointed over three things: there was no off-street parking, the truffle fries were soggy, and there was a MASSIVE increase in prices. Only the latter is worth any angst, but $11 for a GLASS of wine seems excessive. On the positive side, I did enjoy the expanded menu, as I was growing tired of the usual choices at the N. Tejon location.

Re: “Indy's 2018 primary election endorsements

Vote against the people spending the most money on their campaign. If you haven't seen these people out campaigning in person you can be sure they don't represent the person on the street.

Re: “Parks board approves Strawberry Fields, North Cheyenne CaƱon plans

So where is the Master Plan for the worthless land the city received in exchange for Strawberry Fields. It might only be suitable for rock climbing or zip lining, but it deserves equal attention.

Re: “The Denver Post must be owned by Coloradans, local leaders say

The Denver Post is nothing but a Washington Post parrot. It doesn't matter one whit who owns them, as they are more concerned with agenda pushing than being a valuable member of the fourth estate.

Re: “Why real news is so important

Sorry folks, but the media's revenue model relies heavily on click bait, meaning that absurd headlines and articles that pander to the zealots/haters are valued more than thoughtful and objective pieces that consider all the known facts of a story. Facts are boring. Opinion, spin, and inflammatory narrative are what's important if the media wants to survive.

Re: “Jaywalking case exposes law enforcement embedded in far-left group

I am curious as to what the the Independent thinks the right course of action should have been. Police in uniform would have been accused of harassment, while no police response at all would enrage citizens who don't want people marching in the middle of the street.

Re: “Sen. Cory Gardner is nowhere to be found during July 4 recess

The Republicans are making a mistake even touching the ACA. They should just let it collapse under its own financial mis-assumptions and use the "cruel and inhumane" treatment of former recipients as a 2018 campaign issue.

Re: “Suthers wants more from Utilities after voters say no to payments

Looks like another back-door tax increase is on its way. Let's hope the council doesn't cave as easily as they did on the Comcast issue.
