Re: “Cycling paradise? Not everywhere in Colorado Springs

If you're not advocating then you're not helping. Attend meetings on road 'right sizing' and bike lanes, email and call your city council and mayor. Bike lanes in downtown are currently on hold and being pushed off due to lack of support. The only way to get more infrastructure is to advocate for it, its up to you!

Re: “Ahead of the Incline trail

interesting in that this proposal does not require any of the Broadmoor land that is currently causing major heartburn for trail users,, as it gives away some one the most beautiful land on the south west side of town. This shows how another goal of the bad deal swap is unnecessary.
Manitou doesn't need more people going up Ruxton, it needs an alternative route to and from the incline that does not take from other area parks. Like it.

Re: “Broadmoor land swap deal changes

"the Broadmoor has added the public will have access to the remainder of the property and any other trails that would potentially be developed"
My understanding is that the public will have access to the TRAILS, not the land, so if the Broadmoor decides not to develop further trails, then we (the public and visitors) will be stuck with two point to point trails and no options to loop through the beautiful area.
Nothing short of a lease (as Mr Skorman also mentions) would be acceptable. Control of public lands should remain in public hands.
