Re: “Media to Trump: Game on

I can see I'm getting in on this a little late in the discussion, but, yet, here I am!. To Mr K and Rocky Smith I say thanks for your intrepid denial that anything happening between Trump and the press is in any way transparent. He might border on transparency if he releases all zillion pages of his tax returns, but he's not going to do that. Perhaps Kellyanne and Mr. Spicer can serve up some "Alternative Facts" for us.

When Trump summarily dismisses the media as "corrupt" and "dishonest" he is undermining the Fourth Estate, and, as has been so aptly put in this scribe, the Fourth Estate is the group that is supposed to hold the pols collective feet to the fire. I don't smell any flesh burning yet.
When he summarily (and without any basis in facts that he has provided) dismisses the election as rigged, and that he really won a YUUUGE victory in the popular vote is another way to cause us to doubt the validity of our democratic process. As of yet, after months of investigation, we don't have any evidence that Mr. Trump could have closed the 2.8 million vote gap that Hillary Clinton laid on him. He just doesn't like to be a "loser". We do know, however, that the three states that tipped the balance for him did have a 'rigged' system. The Republican legislatures and Republican Secretaries of State instituted the same overly broad voter purges that enabled George W Bush to win in Florida in 2000. In Ohio alone (had she won there she would have been Madam President) the purge netted 400,000 voters who could have legally voted - they were properly registered and not under any voting restraints, yet when they got to polls they were turned away.

Why is it that the Republicans think fewer voters is good for democracy? That's a question I'll pose to the esteemed former commissioner Miller. And it always seems that the most vulnerable and estranged from mainstream society are the ones who are getting shafted by these less than democratic policies.

With Trump his cabinet choices and his staff must see him as the Second Coming - I have never seen so many resurrected careers ever before in my life! If he had lost Reince Priebus would have been on the street corner with a tin cup...and who the hell is Kellyanne Conway, anyway? Alternative Facts my foot! Facts is Facts Folks - there ain't no alternative facts - they's just damn lies! (That's my Uncle Kermit talking...I channel his wisdom from time to time)

And don't forget - there are more of us than there are of them! You don't lose until you quit.

It's nice to see all you right-wing nuts getting your panties in a wad about an obscure and very relevant clause in the Constitution - nervous, are you?

Wyman, I wasn't going to dignify your adolescent and uninformed response with a reply, but here goes: In the Trump world there are no checks and balances. Remember him saying that if he's President he could do what he wanted? With the Congress he now has he can do that. Hold on to your shorts, boy, or you're gonna lose 'em!

Look up 'corporatism', 'oligarchy', 'supply side economics', 'unlimited annual growth', 'nepotism', 'trickle-down economics' and get back to us - all of us, not just your wealthy friends.

I've been on the edge all of my adult life because of ignorant jackasses like you - keep it up - I might stroke out (LOL - I'm in it for the long haul - don't get your hopes up!

BTW, a "whack job" is a professional hit. Try more accurate terminology. I like passionate patriot. You'd be surprised at all I already have to say about what goes on. You think Hollywood doesn't have a say? We've already had a B actor for President - now we get a reality (right) show p...y grabber and WWE fan. Hollywood DOES run the show.

Re: “Trump's inexperience, Colorado's primary system, Centennial extension, and more

Mr Mabon, in reading your letter more carefully it should be required reading for every public servant in the country. Bravo - they work for us, not the other way around, tho sometimes it doesn't feel that way.

And in corporatist Trumpland we'll all be workin' for the man...again.

Mr Casimir, roads don't last that long. TABOR has lasted longer...and the longer it lasts the longer we'll be dodging potholes. It would be innovative if some of our great materials engineers could get that to work though...then maybe TABOR could work, too - NOT!

Tannim, let me get this straight - our current President, former Harvard Law Review editor, Constitutional Law professor who has a 57% approval rating and scares he crap out of Putin (as does NATO and the former Lady Secretary) is the fellow more than half the nation wants impeached? Math challenged, you are.

I would vote for Trump to be your operating surgeon any day - maybe he could correct your attitude with some fine hand gestures or something.

Mr Mabon, freedom from religion is every bit as important as freedom of religion. Tannim fails to acknowledge that the bible was written by men, and severely edited over the years. It stands on its own until some self-appointed direct line to the almighty wants to cherry pick and change interpretations.
