I too, am an ex-con. I was released in 2002 after spending over 5 years in prison. After my release, I was homeless, un-employed, and without resources in this city. After getting (LUCKY), and finding numerous menial jobs that barely paid enough to feed myself, (never mind paying for rent, medical, or any other bills), I slowly moved up the pay scale to where I now make enough to support myself and my fiancee. After over 9 years of struggling, I have found that almost anything is possible, as long as you never give up trying. I also beleive that, if there wasn't the stigma, that society places on ex-cons, if they would just give them a chance, that many would not re-commit crimes, and then be a further burden on society. NOT ALL EX-CONS ARE CRIMINALS FOR LIFE....
