Intersection reconstructed

There's a new crossing in town, and it's actually two or three crossings. The Colorado Department of Transportation says some U.S. 24 and Eighth Street traffic has been shifted to a south road that meets up with Eighth Street and is expected to handle a significant amount of the 60,000 vehicles per day that pass through the intersection.

The quadrant and intersection improvements are part of the $113-million interchange at Interstate 25 and Cimarron Street, which is to be completed this fall. Check out the way traffic now flows on YouTube or in the video below.
