This year, California woman Stephanie Packer was denied treatment because legal suicide was available!

Watch what happened to this woman's husband:

You think this is impossible?

Re: “Proposition 106: The Colorado End-of-Life Options Act

Bill W.:

You have certainly outdone yourself in providing an absurd response this time!

You state that the: "widow of the driver [Ted Kennedy] of the vehicle in the fatal crash [of Mary Jo Kopechne] is now preaching about how we should die is both hypocritical and insensitive." How does the Ted Kennedy scandal of 1969 affect his wife Victoria Reggie Kennedy? He and Vicky met years later! and first dated 22 years after the scandal.

If you, Bill, want to be taken seriously, DO SOME RESEARCH before you post !

Re: “Colorado voters can make the choice much easier for patients like Sheryl Randall

To: Lroberts Roberts

No it is everyone's business when the law is changed because it applies to everyone: the elderly person in a nursing home who is lonely and told it would be better if she died or the cancer patient who is told he can't get expensive treatments but the state will pay for assisted suicide (this happened more than once in Oregon). You may not be concerned about these people, but I AM.

I wasn't trying to convince you. I want to show people how dangerous this bill is. Massachusetts had the same bill 4 years ago and the voters defeated it.

One of the strongest arguments put forward then was by Ted Kennedy's widow, who called this kind of bill "cruel.". Here it is:

Tannim:

If you give someone a gun and a map of a jewelry store with instructions on how to rob it, you are as guilty as the person who performs the physical act.
If a doctor gives someone a poison with instructions on how to take it, that is being a party to the act of killing a human being.

By the way, calling them "pharmaceuticals" is not honest.

Re: “Proposition 106: The Colorado End-of-Life Options Act

Mr. Bill W.

You say: "Prop 106 may be flawed. It is, after all, a "Proposition," most of which are flawed in some form." Yeah, but if this is voted in, it becomes THE law affected all citizens of Colorado. If it is flawed, voters should reject it and send it back to the drawing board. NOT vote it into law. Especially since this bill involves matters of life and death of vulnerable people!
