Re: “Meet your MMJ campaign committee

Please Vote NO!!!! My grandma, who has terrible pain from arthritis, gets relief from lotions and creams made from medical marijuana. If the medical marijuana centers that carry these lotions and creams are closed down, she will not be able to get the medicine she so desparately needs for her pain. Please don't take that choice away from her!!!She's not a criminal, she's a very sweet lady! Instead, lets all get educated on the benefits of the plant and lets see what other positive things can come from it. Not to mention that if we close the centers down, then the business moves into the neighborhoods, into closets and basements that are not nearly as safe and are completely unregulated. We need it to be regulated and tracked in a safe environment just like HB 1284 intended. Think about it...if we close a hundred centers, who have hundreds of patients each, and we expect these patients to get their medicine from a caregiver in the neighborhood, it will proliferate thousands of caregivers into the community because 1 caregiver can only have 5 patients. Therefore, in order to serve the thousands of patients in the community, you would literally need thousands of caregivers operating in the neighborhoods, again...unregulated. Is that what we really want?

P.S. Where are all the opponents of medical marijuana? I really would like to hear a decent argument as to why medical marijuana centers should be banned forcing unregulated operations into the neighborhoods. Where is the good in that effort? Lets hear it!!!
