Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

PPFC is the worst organization I have ever seen. They don't care about the community, they only care about making money - - not a great mission for a not for profit organization. The CEO and others should all be fired, as they did to all the good people who used to work there and actually do care about the community. Please don't trust them with your money.

Re: “UPDATE: Ex-officer says he witnessed order to notarize deputy oaths

@JayWhynotaskme, they already know they are being watched. They don't care. They don't have to care. The BoCC supports them. The mainstream media turns a blind eye. The District Attorney is corrupt and refuses to do anything. All we can hope for is that CBI will really do something, but even that won't get rid of Elder. We are just going to have to vote someone else in who is competent and who will rid us of the filth that is running the Sheriff's Office.

Our Board of County Commissioners won't do a damn thing. Write them and ask them why they are allowing the Sheriff's office to police itself?

Re: “Colorado Springs settles lawsuit with CSPD recruits

"Within days of publication, they filed a federal lawsuit, seeking reinstatement and back pay. "

OK, so they each got $1000, but the article doesn't say anything either way about reinstatement? I'm guessing they did not get their jobs?

Re: “Mixed blessings

I have listened to Andrew for several years now. There is absolutely nothing phony about who he is and what he stands for. If I were to pick up any hate towards homosexuals or any other group I would stop listening to him. I've been in the Bible now for about 40 years, his teachings are real. For those who criticize him you were speaking in ignorance. Ignorant about what he truly teaches just to justify what you believe. You may not realize this, and obviously you don't, you are so blessed to have a ministry like that in your city. It's so funny, really pathetic that God puts a ministry like this in a town and the so many in that town listen to the devil and try to boot him out. Oh, this also goes for those pastors out there did speak against God's child. Religion kills, unfortunately many standard religious beliefs do nothing but hurt and judge. I may be bold in saying this, I do not believe you are listening to the Holy Spirit, you do not have an ear for God to speak, you are totally going by what you think, feel or think you see, which leaves you wide-open for the enemy. For more understanding of what I just said, open your Bible, pray that God reveals to you truth and you will be set free. Free from ignorance and self-righteousness! For those that are judging his sons, I really don't believe you have lived in a perfect world, none of us have. Boy are you walking on dangerous ground. One day this world will come to an end, and I hope you're on the right side of the cross. As for the pastors that are afraid their congregations might hear the truth and be set free from guilt and condemnation, rejoice for them! Andrew teaches the truth. He is not a perfect man and he would be the first to say that. Like all of us he goes for his heart leads and I for one am so thankful.

Re: “Needle exchange debate by El Paso County Board of Health ends with "no" vote

Here; have some more needles to leave behind when you're done juicing up. Because once high; every junkie wants to make line #1 being able to remember to pick up their needle when they drop it. Because; uh, fantasyland? Hamburger!

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

"Security and Widefield asked to suspend payment"
Oh, total suspension? As in totally shut out the people living there? Totally? 15, 21 days before Christmas? Total suspension? Have a very shameful Christmas to all the board members, any and all that obviously gave no thoughts towards that horrific blanket solution.

Please take this entire situation back to realityville; which is a place the COS area is rapidly leaving. As in the old people in the Broadmoor area mid-rise getting booted, this mess, transients rapidly taking over the corners, trash and litter everywhere. Is this tomorrow's normal for Colorado Springs? Caring, charitable, affordable, clean, crime free, smooth flowing Colorado Springs?

Am I missing the Miracle on 34th Street concept? Did somebody like; die poorly and upset the timeline of our Finest Small City of America?

WTF is happening?

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

PPCF has proven thru their actions with Aspen Valley Ranch in Woodland Park they are not to be trusted. They are a non profit so I would think the easement agreements should be public record. Maybe an attorney, not associated with PPCF or any of it's board members could give an honest answer to your question.

Re: “UPDATE: Ex-officer says he witnessed order to notarize deputy oaths

Shame on the Gazette, news media, and so called anti-corruption, conservative local radio talk show hosts (Krank, Randall, Tron) who are looking at the corrupt leadership of EPSO with a blind eye. It is you who are supposed to be keeping our elected officials honest...I guess if they are socalled Republicans you give them a pass? We're supposed to be better than that!! Thank you Pam Zubeck and CS Indy for shedding light on these cockroaches!

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

I am a close relative of the Venetucci family and I am outraged to think the Pike Peak Foundation is terminating Nick and Bambi's legacy.
The board members do not understand the heavy burden and sacrifices all the Venetucci family members have endured for 81 years for the education of future generations. They entrusted the PPF to carry on their traditions and desires regardless of any hardships that could develop.
The water issue sounds like an excuse for closing the farming operations. Many generations have benefited because of this pioneer family who gave so much to the Colorado Springs Community over 81 years.
Question: Can the Pike Peak Foundation terminate the farming operations if the Venetucci Farm was left in a Conversation Trust?

Re: “Air Force Academy has a distorted view of sexual assault says former employee

And now that the ROI has been released, she cant be reached for comment. How convenient.... Also, one cant actually be a SARC for 30 years since the position has only been in the military for 12. BTW SAPR was created in 2005 for all military branches.

Re: “Local health care activists face charges despite Sen. Cory Gardner’s apparent request to dismiss

Let us not forget the most important part of this whole story, these women are out there at Gardner's office fighting for our rights to health care while he fights to take it away! Everyone should be standing up thanking them and helping them every step of the way!

Re: “UPDATE: Ex-officer says he witnessed order to notarize deputy oaths

One can only hope that CBI is really doing an investigation. If anyone can confirm that, I'd love to talk to the investigator. It would be an easy investigation at this point. And criminal charges would be inevitable. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

But there is a whole lot of names that need to go. From Bill "I lie alot" Elder to Joe "I love eyeing the girls" Breister to Larry "Do what I say!" Borland to Jackie "I'll do anything if it's in my own personal interest" Kirby to Rob "Hey, show me your t..." King to all of the rest of them at the rank of Commander and above.

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

What is the excuse for Aspen Valley Ranch and Julie Snyder? AVR is fully self funded with cell towers and rental properties that PPCF has put up for sale. Why not have public forums about Venetucci and AVR rather than calling or emailing Sam Clark. Please give notice and time for the public who are interested to make arrangements to attend.

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

The Pikes Peak Community Foundation's current leadership is looking CORRUPT as hell. I highly encourage local media to INVESTIGATE them immediately. And I highly encourage anyone looking to donate to them to look elsewhere.

Just a couple weeks ago, in Woodland Park, PPCF fired Aspen Valley Ranch manager Julie Jackson-Snyder. Jackson-Snyder is the very woman who donated Aspen Valley Ranch to PPCF in the first place, on behalf of her late father (Julie was the head of her father's "Gordon Jackson Foundation") basically telling her they understand her father's wishes for property better than her.

Translation: They're looking to sell.

And like they're now doing with Venetucci, PPCF has already begun the process of starving AVR by disposing of the very assets (rental properties and communications towers) that provide AVR it's recurring annual income.

Get on this, CSIndy staff, before these properties ... which PPCF promised to protect, and which are meant for community enrichment ... are sold off to the highest bidder with PPCF pocketing the cash.

Corrupt corrupt corrupt. Please look into this.

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

The Pikes Peak Community Foundation's current leadership is looking corrupt as hell, and I encourage local press to launch a thorough investigation immediately. Up in Woodland Park, they recently fired Julie Jackson-Snyder, the very woman who donated Aspen Valley Ranch to PPCF on behalf of her late Father, Gordon Jackson (whose foundation Julie headed up) basically claiming that they knew better than Julie what her father's desires for the property were. Translation: They're looking to sell the property (and sell out the community), which is something Gordon Jackson NEVER would have wanted. Get on this, CS Indy staff ... before these properties, which were meant to be protected and their owner's legacies honored are gone forever to the highest bidders PPCF can find.

Re: “UPDATE: Venetucci farmers laid off as contaminated water spoils finances

I would hope any of the donors or families considering leaving their properties in the "care" of Pikes Peak Community Foundation are paying attention to how PPCF Board is, to say the least, unethical. Look at Aspen Valley Ranch in Woodland Park. I would be interested in knowing who all makes these decisions, their names, their ties to developers, politicians, etc. It's always about money. Selling off Aspen Valley Ranch, which is self supporting, how can this foundation be trusted to manage the money? They obviously don't care about what Venetucci Farm means to the community. I would love to see this board held accountable for how they have spent the money they are responsible for.
