Re: “Reader: Progressives want to steal America as we know it

"Nothing in the bill of Rights or the Constitution call out any rights to possess ammunition for firearms. " - Jasmine

Oh great, another m0r0n trolling that !d!ot!c thought process.

WRONG!!! Ammo is needed to have a functioning firearm and is afforded the same protections as firearms themselves.

Re: “Reader: Progressives want to steal America as we know it

Nothing in the bill of Rights or the Constitution call out any rights to possess ammunition for firearms. Nor does it say that one keeping and bearing weapons is allowed to discharge firearms.
That said, if you're not permitted to have ammo, but you can keep your guns, would that make you happy?

Re: “The challenge of dance photography

Hi Terry, Thanks for your note! I agree. It's extreme to make that many images, but keep in mind this is a performance of 10 studios in an hour... each studio gets a couple of different performances and I wanted to make sure I have images that work for everyone... under different circumstances I wouldn't take nearly as many. Thanks for your comment Terry!

Re: “Steve Garufi, a Colorado guy

This guy is not what he appears. Total narcissist and hypocrite, claiming to be a Christian spreading empathy. Anyone who opposes his opinion and view will be immediately deleted or rudely taken off his post. There are better people in the world with real issues to help mankind than this person of whiny persona.

Re: “The challenge of dance photography

I shot for the Colorado Ballet for over 20 years and the DenverCenter for Performing Arts for 20+ years and the Chicago City Ballet before that. 3000 shots (almost 1 per second) in an hour hour is pretty extreme. I would average about 550 shots per performance. I do agree with you that dance is like a fast moving sporting event with constantly changing light. I found the secret to capturing the best shots is listening to the music.

Re: “The challenge of dance photography

I've been shooting dance for several companies for many years. Since I'm shooting dress rehearsals, I have the luxury of being able to stand anywhere. But like you, have to deal with stage lighting and movement. I use a Sony a7R2 for its high ISO abilities, letting it float between 100-6400. I do use a shallow depth of field of between f2.0 and f3.2 and 1/200s. I almost always use a 28mm lens, unless I'm shooting solos, in which case I might switch to a 35mm or 55mm. But always prime. And finally, to deal with the hot overhead lights, I turn the EV down by 2/3 to 1 1/3 stops to make sure I don't blow out the highlights. Because the sensor of the a7R2 is ISO Invariant, I can pull a lot of detail out of the shadows. Congratulations on having the opportunity to shoot the CSDT!

I agree, the process conducted by the city to approve the land swap was dirty all the way.

Re: “One chronicle of street (and other sexual) harassment in Colorado Springs

My daughter was sexually abused by her own father we reported it and if I wouldn't have found out she probably wouldn't have said anything went to police station made reports and still have done nothing about it they said they couldn't arrest him with no evidence but I have text messages from him to my daughter then they wonder why people take matters into their own hands....

Re: “Reader: Keep the "dirt" buried

This from the National Archives: "The National Archives is releasing documents previously withheld in accordance with the JFK Assassination Records Collection Act. The vast majority of the Collection (88%) has been open in full and released to the public since the late 1990s. The records at issue are documents previously identified as assassination records, but withheld in full or withheld in part."
In other words, this is merely part of an ongoing release of information regarding the assassination of JFK. The release and the release dates were legislated. If you don't want to see them, then don't look at them.
Usually people who are made nervous about attention being given to sexual assault incidents are those people who have themselves committed sexual assault. Is that you, by any chance??

Re: “Reader: Keep the "dirt" buried

If a woman is sexually assaulted by an older person then it doesn't count? Should all women who've been sexually assaulted keep quiet to "Keep the Peace"? I guess "Love thy Neighbor" doesn't mean a thing when one is assaulted, only when they speak of it. YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!

Re: “Reader: Trump's not worthy of military respect

you would rather have Clinton bombing Syria and the rest of dozens of countries by drone? I don't know which of the two is better- but the least the Army and Air Force could do is stop wearing their goddamn combat uniform out in public.

Thanks, from another Service Member--
