Re: “Jeremy Facknitz’s sound advice

Be proud of the fact you have good enough taste to like Phil Collins solo work! He was the dominant musician of the 1980s and is a consummate drummer, singer, songwriter, actor, producer and seems to be an all around great guy! He could do much worse!

Re: “The new Taylor Swift carries an odd feeling

I have not listened to her new music, this review seems useful, she is still rather young, sheltered and uber wealthy, given more time she may come upon a populist progressive mindset if she keeps thinking and asking questions, I hope.

Re: “Gabe From The Future's sound advice

His taste in music actually kind of sucks. When it comes to Metallica those who cared about things more than loudness said take a hike after touring for 4 years on the same album. Losers in music do make money.
Love some of the bands but come on man.
By the way "Heavy Metal" was a derogatory term for the obnoxious music heard by a music critic. But took off with other writers because many, like the critic, didnt have the decency to publish the thoughts and feelings of the musicians at the time. Take Black Sabbath. When rarely asked by american writers what their thoughts where on their music they would respond "hard rock blues".
Yet they were labeled Heavy Metal. A rather stupid term in the face of the bands thoughts.

Re: “Record Store Day's Black Friday offerings are beyond special

RSD has become a commercial money grab that stresses every U.S. based pressing plant to the point that almost all the RSD offerings are either pressed or engineered like crap. First couple years, before commercialism, RSD was a celebration for record lovers, but now it's an overpriced, obnoxious reason to buy crappy offerings.

Re: “Kid Rock cancels candidacy, announces Denver show

"it was all just a joke"... when is trump going to end the joke that is his presidency??

All he has done is damage his brand so "bigly" that it will never be able to be repaired.

Re: “Kid Rock cancels candidacy, announces Denver show

Saw him open for Aerosmith some years ago. Even back then he was a total ego maniac. Strippers in cages?!?!? On stage?!?!? Really?!?!? And as a musician I noted how he had to go around and play a riff on all the other instruments just to show everyone how good he was. NOT!

I've seen APC twice now in concert and they are amazing! I was lucky enough to witness Maynard announce the release of their new album and am so excited! Great show! Can't wait to see them again soon!

Re: “Colin Trusedell’s Sound Advice

One of the things that makes Colin such a great jazz musician is that he doesn't just own/listen to jazz albums.

Re: “Colin Trusedell’s Sound Advice

you should have asked him if he actually owns a jazz album, Bill.

A well-deserved Spotlight on this remarkable artist! An inspired innovator and a dedicated educator, Jane is also a friend to many. Colorado is lucky beyond belief to have her here.
