Re: “Seeds Community Cafe, Wild Cider, Perkins Restaurant and Bakery

Cider in America is in full Renaissance. IIRC, it's actually the fastest growing segment of alcoholic drinks. It's well worth seeking out non-mass market ciders, although some are quite good. I got hooked on them a few years ago and am fortunate that a local pub carries a very large selection.

Re: “3 Hundred Days of Shine, Carl's Jr., Red Dog Coffee

Agree with Ralph, our All Natural Burgers were best fast food burger to date.
Agree with Jah, Green Line Grill has an awesome burger and fries.
If Carl's is homophobic then I'll not darken their door again, same for Chik-Fil-A.

Re: “3 Hundred Days of Shine, Carl's Jr., Red Dog Coffee

We had a coupon for 2 for 1 on the new "All Natural Burger." I could not justify paying full price, but what we had was as close to what they look like on TV as I've ever seen. The cheddar was real, the ground beef was lean and fresh tasting, the toppings were fresh and the bun was something a step up from a normal hamburger bun. I know nothing of Carl's Jr. politics, but for half price it was the best burger I have had from a fast food joint.

Re: “3 Hundred Days of Shine, Carl's Jr., Red Dog Coffee

Can't give Carl's Jr., or any company that actively hates on our homosexual brothers and sisters any of my dimes.
But nice try Carl's to jump on a bandwagon while still being a sexist, homophobic organization. Green Line Grill, Quijotes' Mexican Hamburger, Drifters, Short Stop, and BJ's Velvet Freeze are all much, much better alternatives than this hateful chain.

Re: “Muffin topped

I just re-read your review and just need to say give it time they haven't been open long enough to work every bug out. You know this all too well as you have worked in the industry for quite awhile. So let them iron the kinks out and revisit.

Re: “Muffin topped

I have since been in to alter the heating procedure for the cinnamon roll and so there should not be any more issues.

Re: “Muffin topped

I love the food. you forgot to mention the fact of the place is absolutely spotLess and doesn't smell like urine anymore. I love the fact that I can lean up against the bar and not worry about sticking to it by the years of all the grease that the last owner neglected to clean.

Re: “Muffin topped

I make the cinnamon rolls and there isn't much possibility of the cinnamon roll being dry with all the tallow and butter in it Unless it was heated up too long I may have to run a few reheat ideas by them. -shawn The sourdough boulangerie

Re: “Sorrisos kicks out addicting mountain-town Italian

Thanks for the insight, Shawn. The use of cream in carbonara is far from agreed upon.

What do you think a carbonara is its a cream based sauce finished ala minute with egg yolk

Re: “Springs expects the nation's first dog-friendly eatery, CCM expands again

The Watering Bowl did this in Denver but the health department caused so many problems for them they had to stop allowing dogs inside. The Bark Bar in Denver was not an indoor restaurant, but a dog park bar and coffee place and again, neighbors and code enforcement shut them down. Local government would not give guidelines to how to comply before these businesses opened, so hopefully it will be different in the Springs. I'm really hoping governments can work with business people to make the concept work because for the few months I could take my dogs inside the Watering Bowl, it was awesome.
